for pure, uncomplicated destruction, but is wrapped in an advanced, armoured shell focused on precise prey identification, weakness targeting, and detection avoidance.
A dishonourable weapon by nature, they are perhaps less popular among the Starchiefs, although most show little compunction to deploy them against lesser races unworthy of respect. The rarer Makibishi Impel Mine is designed to slow, disrupt, and immobilise ships with an intense pulse of hypergravity on detonation. This warps superstructures, arrests million of tons of momentum, and can even throw starships off course.
