Introducing the Hatakaze Type Missile Escort Ship Model Kit!
The Hatakaze type is the third-generation missile escort ship of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. The first ship of the class, the Hatakaze, was put into service in March 1986. She is the first missile escort ship to introduce a gas turbine propulsion engine, and also the only escort ship equipped with a bulwark on the bow to protect the missile launcher from waves.
[This model kit can be built as a waterline or full-hull version. The kit reproduces the Hatakaze during the last time she was an escort ship, with various satellite communication antennas added. Decals are included for the ship`s signs and walking belts, and photo-etched parts are included for the flags and nameplate.]
